Needless to say, we chose the stairs to the second floor. The view was amazing from there. Plus, Kristian is afraid of heights, and she wasn’t sure how she would do going to the top.

Kinda: I know Kristian is going to say that I was being cheap by choosing the stairs. And maybe I was. But mainly, I would rather be on a solid set of stairs than in an elevator crowded with tourists.

We finally got the the second level of the Eiffel tower, and the view was amazing! You could see the entire city. We were so glad we took the time to see a “tourist site” that was worth its hype.

Kinda: I didn’t really realize exactly how scared Kristian was of heights. When we got to the second level, she had trouble walking back down the stairs. I shut off the camera – I felt bad. However, if I would have known the harassment I was going to get later in the trip, I might have kept filming… 😉

Kristian: To some the Eiffel Tower may seem like just another piece of architecture in a big city, but to me it represented a dream I have always had of coming to France.  Standing in front of the Eiffel Tower, I experienced another dream in my heart come pass. And if I’ve seen the Eiffel Tower then everything else is just as possible, or as the French say, “uhn poss-ee-blah.”
